My name is Niki Donovan, Founder and Executive Director of the T.R.U.E. Love Foundation. I created this Foundation because I know what it means to survive the unthinkable and I know what it means to rise. My life was shaped by trauma and barriers meant to silence me, but instead of breaking me, they gave me the fire to build something greater.

I refuse to live in a world where healing is a privilege. I know what it feels like to be turned away, overlooked, and left to fight alone. No survivor, no child, no family should ever have to carry that burden. That is why I built the T.R.U.E. Love Foundation, so that others do not just survive, they rise.

At the core of this vision are the four living branches, each one born from my own lived experience.

T.R.U.E Homes because I know the pain of not having safe and stable housing, of moving from place to place, and of wondering if the doors I opened would be safe or dangerous. Homes are not just roofs. They are the foundation of dignity and security, and every person deserves that ground to stand on.

T.R.U.E Families because I know what it feels like to have family broken apart by violence, addiction, and systems that punish rather than protect. Families are the roots of healing, and when we strengthen parents, caregivers, and children, we break cycles and create legacies of love instead of harm.

T.R.U.E Education because I know what it is like to be denied knowledge, to be written off, and to have doors to opportunity slammed shut. Education is not only learning from books. It is discovering your power, reclaiming your voice, and building a future no one can take away.

T.R.U.E Healing because I know the reality of trauma. I know the nights of silence, the battles with shame, and the weight of survival that feels endless. Healing is not about fixing what is broken. It is about remembering your wholeness and reclaiming your strength. Healing must be survivor led, safe, and accessible to all.

These branches rise from the values that carried me through fire: Truth, Respect, Unity, and Empowerment. They are not just words. They are the heartbeat of our work, the promise that fuels every program, every service, and every story of change.

The T.R.U.E. Love Foundation is more than my legacy. It is a movement of survivors rising together. My promise is this: every voice will be heard, every story will be honored, and every survivor will have the chance to rise. Not alone, but together, as a force that cannot be silenced.
